The RCEM Annual Conference, the Royal College of Emergency Medicine’s flagship event, will take place from 13–15 April 2027 in a hybrid format, with in-person sessions at Manchester Central and online participation available. Bringing together emergency medicine professionals from across the UK, Ireland, and beyond, it is one of the largest gatherings in the specialty. In 2026, the conference welcomed more than 2,000 delegates, both in person and virtually, from around the world.

Abstracts are an integral part of the conference programme, providing an opportunity to showcase high-quality work and share advances in emergency medicine. More than 500 abstracts were accepted in 2026, offering researchers and clinicians at all stages of their careers a valuable platform to present their work and achievements.

Submissions are welcome in the following categories:

• Research projects

• Quality improvement (QI) initiatives

• Case reports
