Emergency Medicine Consultant & HEMS Physician (UK)

Trauma Team Leader at St Mary’s Major Trauma Centre, London. Former Clinical Director and ATLS® Director, founder of the TinT® trauma simulation course, and lead investigator for multiple trauma-based research programs including PULSE and ECHO-STORM.

Gary Berkowitz

Intensive Care & Critical Care Flight Paramedic

AHPRA Clinical Advisor and senior paramedic with over 400+ aeromedical missions across Australia, Africa, and the Middle East. Specialist in high-acuity retrievals, aviation medicine, and trauma care in challenging environments.

Dr Stig Walravens

Disaster Medicine & Tropical Health

Belgian Emergency Physician and Trauma Lead at Ghent University Hospital, with advanced training in Disaster Medicine and Tropical Medicine.
Has served in high-risk, rapidly evolving conflict zones with Médecins Sans Frontières — including Afghanistan during the Taliban takeover, Ukraine in 2022, and the West Bank after the 7 October attacks.
Active member of EUSEM’s Quality & Safety in Emergency Medicine Global Health subgroup, bringing frontline experience from humanitarian and conflict settings.
